桃太郎
Momotarō is discovered through a miraculous peach birth, grows into a formidable youth, and sets out with animal companions toward an island associated with ogres in Ozaki's popular retelling.
The tale joins miraculous origin, journey, gift exchange, animal allies, and victory over dangerous opponents. Food shared on the road helps create the traveling party.
