Information Loreveil processes

You can read public lore without an account. If you sign in, Loreveil receives your email address and authentication identifier. Google sign-in may also provide a profile name and avatar. Loreveil stores story discoveries, trivia attempts and correctness, culture mastery, and earned achievements so your Codex works across devices.

Hosting and authentication services necessarily process technical request information such as IP address, browser or user-agent details, timestamps, cookies, and error logs to deliver and protect the service. Loreveil does not use advertising profiles, public location sharing, direct messages, followers, or behavioral advertising.

Why information is used

Data is used to authenticate you, save requested progress, calculate mastery and achievements, operate and secure the application, diagnose failures, and improve route performance. Core Web Vitals are logged without an advertising identifier or cross-site profile. Loreveil does not sell personal information.

Service providers and international processing

Neon provides PostgreSQL, authentication, and related data services. Vercel hosts the application and runtime logs. Google processes data when you choose Google OAuth. These providers may process data in countries other than your own under their terms and legal transfer mechanisms. Loreveil does not currently use an advertising analytics provider, session replay, or third-party behavioral tracker.

Retention and deletion

Account and progress data is kept while the account exists. Choosing Delete account in the Codex removes the Neon Auth account and cascades deletion through the linked profile, progress, trivia, mastery, and achievement records. Provider security and request logs may remain for their configured operational periods. Loreveil has not yet adopted a separate fixed log-retention period; that decision is tracked internally and this notice will be updated before a specific duration is claimed.

Your choices and rights

Signed-in users can export their Loreveil data and delete their account from Profile. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, and may complain to a privacy regulator. Use the contact page for a request; identity may need to be verified. Content corrections have a separate review path.

Children and changes

Loreveil is a general-audience educational product and is not intentionally directed to children. It minimizes account data and does not provide advertising or social features. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied personal information can contact us. Material policy changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
